Why it matters
Every year, thousands of pets are surrendered or euthanized because their families simply can't afford the care they need. We work with a growing network of partner clinics to make sure a treatable illness or one bad night never becomes a life-or-death choice.

Partner clinic network
We work with independent veterinary clinics across the United States. When a family is approved, funds are sent by ACH directly to the clinic's accounts-receivable within 24–48 hours of approval — never as cash, gift card, or reimbursement to the family. Each partner clinic has a W-9 and an MOU on file with Poverty Pets Veterinary Fund before any grant is issued.
All grants require a licensed DVM's written treatment plan with itemized costs.

Every disbursement is tied to a clinic invoice and applicant case file retained for IRS Form 990 review.
Eligibility at a glance
At or under 200% of the federal poverty level, verified by pay stub, tax return, SNAP, or Medicaid card.
Dogs and cats owned by the applicant — not fosters, strays held for resale, or breeding stock.
A treatable illness or injury with a written estimate from a licensed DVM at a partner clinic.
Organization
A registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit working to keep families and the pets they love together by removing cost as a barrier to veterinary care. Every grant goes directly to a partner clinic on behalf of a family in need.
